I bought diapers last week for $19.99 (a big box) and this week they are on sale even more. I took in my reciept and they would not give me the difference. Grrrrrr. They went through 3 people/ managers to tell me they do not do that. On top of that, they don’t take manufacturer coupons- double Grrrrrr! Ok, rant over for now!
- Weekly deals- Nov 2
I’m celebrating the presidential defeat/ victory (depending on your outlook) today by shopping! Check out my deals at Smith’s! They are having one of those buy 10 items and save sales. Throw in some coupons like I did and I got everything for $6 bucks and got free razors and free toothpaste! Even though I don’t really need the free things someone out there does- so it’s a great way to help charities or families in need and it doesn’t cost a cent!! And now I’m home and the kiddos are both sleeping =o)
And if you’re not afraid of generic diapers then check out HERE to get the scoop on the amazing sale at Walgreens!! Seriously it’s like buying 1 pack of jumbo Walgreens brand diapers (all sizes) and getting 3 free when you combine sale and coupon. I’ve been to 4 Walgreens stores and stocked up. The store and Craig and MLK has the red pharmacy coupon book sitting out for you to take at the “customer consultation” station. So grab your coupon book from there, go to the diaper aisle and get 4 packs (limit 4), go to check out to ring up the diapers first, then hold the coupon book out for the clerk to scan the diaper coupon (it takes $2 off each package). It’s like getting a pack of diapers for $2.50. Can’t go wrong! If you’re leary about diaper leakage, then use generics during the day and name brand at night.
No more shopping this week, b/c I want to stay within budget this month, I am notorious for going broke on good deals, and it’s only the first part of the month so I want to save for deals later on.
Thanks Thrifymama for the info about these great deals!
So Joshy didn’t even seem bothered by all the crazy foods going through me and then him! He woke up once to eat and fell asleep rather quickly. He never burped though (we have the hardest time getting this kid to burp) and so about 2 hours later he woke up only to burp! Not so bad really since he’ll belch and then back to sleep he goes!! Well then 3 hours later he was crying, because we was wet! Yeah, the generic Target diaper leaked and poor little guy was not very comfy. Not gassy though!
So maybe spicy foods and loads of chocolate are good for gassy babies! It didn’t even phase my little guy. I guess our new venture is to find a better diaper for night time. We’ve started experimenting, but I’m convinced that I won’t need to spend more than 20 cents a diaper.
